Saturday 27th September….Tumour Pathology Results

Viv, Brendan's oncologist phoned yesterday, and pathology on the tumour has shown that on removal it was 50 to 60 % dead. This tells us that the chemotherapy treatment so far has had a generally good effect, and the team is happy. But it hasn't been a perfect effect...perfect would have been 100%.

Viv & Brendan

So he's done the swim, he's off the bike but still has the marathon to run. It's daunting but he can smash it out just like he has the other disciplines thus far.
The next Chemo plan will start on the 7th of October. Bren will be an inpatient for 3 days every 3 weeks for 9 weeks. I am sure this is due to a large extent the fact that he has just undergone major surgery, and will still be recuperating from that when the first chemo session goes ahead. Therefore an inpatient stay is the best course of action for this next step in his recovery.

The finish line is in view for Bren, but it looks like I have a few more walks down King Street Yet!

#teambrendanm all the way :)
